
A fun and creative snack—a sausage roll with a savory twist on frangipane, made with almonds! I flavored it with garlic and herbs, but the possibilities are endless.
Recipe for 10 Pieces
🕒 20 minutes prep time
For the Savory Frangipane:
100g almond flour
1 egg
15g butter
1 tbsp fresh parsley
1 garlic clove, minced
½ tsp dried basil
Salt & pepper to taste
For the Rolls:
1 large sausage (I used a farmer's sausage made of beef & pork)
1 sheet of puff pastry
1 egg (for brushing)
Instructions:
✨ Cook the sausage – Air-fry for 15 minutes at 180°C (350°F) or pan-fry until cooked. Let it cool slightly.
✨ Prepare the frangipane – Mix all frangipane ingredients in a bowl.
✨ Assemble the rolls:
Cut a rectangle from the puff pastry, the same width as the sausage.
Spread a thick layer of the frangipane onto the pastry.
Place the sausage on top and carefully roll it up.
Brush with beaten egg.
✨ Bake:
Air fryer: 15 minutes at 180°C (350°F)
Oven: 20 minutes at 200°C (400°F)
