Savory Almond Sausage Rolls (Frangipane Twist!), in the airfryer

A fun and creative snack—a sausage roll with a savory twist on frangipane, made with almonds! I flavored it with garlic and herbs, but the possibilities are endless.


Recipe for 10 Pieces

🕒 20 minutes prep time


For the Savory Frangipane:

  • 100g almond flour

  • 1 egg

  • 15g butter

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • ½ tsp dried basil

  • Salt & pepper to taste


For the Rolls:

  • 1 large sausage (I used a farmer's sausage made of beef & pork)

  • 1 sheet of puff pastry

  • 1 egg (for brushing)



Instructions:

Cook the sausage – Air-fry for 15 minutes at 180°C (350°F) or pan-fry until cooked. Let it cool slightly.

Prepare the frangipane – Mix all frangipane ingredients in a bowl.

Assemble the rolls:

  1. Cut a rectangle from the puff pastry, the same width as the sausage.

  2. Spread a thick layer of the frangipane onto the pastry.

  3. Place the sausage on top and carefully roll it up.

  4. Brush with beaten egg.


Bake:

  • Air fryer: 15 minutes at 180°C (350°F)

  • Oven: 20 minutes at 200°C (400°F)


Serve warm and enjoy! This is buttery, crispy, and packed with flavor. 😍
