Dakkous is a delicious, spicy Arabic tomato sauce that pairs perfectly with Kabsa, the recipe for which I shared yesterday. This sauce has a rich flavor thanks to the combination of fresh tomatoes, garlic, and spices, adding a wonderful kick to your meal. Even better, it's raw, so it's ready in just five minutes.
For a large serving for 6 to 8 people5 minutes of work
Ingredients:
3 tomatoes
1 onion
1 Spanish chili pepper
Zest of 1 lemon + all of the pulp
2 cloves of garlic
Salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon cumin
3 sprigs of mint
A handful of cilantro
✨ Zest the lemon and remove the white pith. We’ll add all the pulp into the sauce.
✨ In a blender, add everything except the mint and cilantro.
✨ Blend until everything is in small pieces, but you can still leave some texture in the sauce.
✨ Add the mint and cilantro, and blend briefly until the herbs are finely chopped.

✨ Serve with Kabsa
