This salad is similar to the one we always get when we go to a Turkish restaurant. It has a lot of volume from the frisée lettuce, tons of fresh herbs, a sweet and sour dressing, and many finely chopped vegetables. It's delicious with barbecue.
Honestly, I could eat all those fresh herbs as a salad on their own :)
Ingredients:
200 grams frisée lettuce
1/2 cucumber
1 tomato
A handful of finely chopped red cabbage
1 Turkish mild pepper (Charliston biber)
Seeds from 1 pomegranate
A handful of fresh dill
A handful of fresh cilantro
A handful of fresh parsley
For the dressing:
2 tablespoons honey
5 tablespoons olive oil
Salt to taste
Juice of 1 large lemon
✨ Make the dressing:
✨ Mix the honey, olive oil, lemon juice, and salt.
✨ Pour the dressing into a large bowl.
✨ Prepare the salad:
✨ Cut all the vegetables into small pieces and add them to the bowl.
✨ Pluck the fresh herbs (do not chop them finely).
✨ Garnish with pomegranate seeds.
